This season the League Committee has said farewell to two Divisional Organisers – namely Graham Lawrence (Littletons TC) and Richard LePage (Snitterfield TC) after many years of service to the Winter League. As a league we are very grateful for their enthusiasm and contribution to the continuing success of the Winter league. A presentation is being made soon for farewell gifts that they have chosen, hopefully our league Chairman Tony Eskew will be well enough to attend / present.
Therefore 2 Divisional Organiser vacancies exist/ are needed.
Any individuals (whether a captain or not) are welcome to join, especially from the ‘larger’ clubs like Chipping Campden/ Evesham/ Henley/ Pershore / Stratford / Warwick Boat / Tennis etc (Alcester/ Bidford/ Leamington/ Studley and Shipston are already are involved) but again all please feel free to offer to help ensure the continued success of this long running Winter league.
This is not at all time consuming or complex, especially as using MyDivision means no postage and fixtures/ scores/positions etc. are automated. There is usually an end of season meeting with a meal/ refreshments plus a £25 honorarium is awarded, none of us do it for financial reasons but for the enjoyment/ benefit of tennis.
